Engadget have quoted “Sorry NEC, but we’re just totally not feeling this look” We beg to differ do you? But then again now we are staring at it over and over again it does look like a kids toy laptop (you know the ones), but the question is will these be cheap enough to put on this site seeing as we are about cheap laptops, we will let you know on this one see as price and availability is not known yet.

About the New NEC LaVie Laptops – These new additions from NEC are apparently going to fall within the budget line according to Engadget and they are normally right as they are a very well respected site, the LaVie C is the top of the range laptop which has up to 2GHz Core 2 Duo T7200 processor, VRAM and HDMI out, Blu-ray drive and 15.4-inch WXGA (1280 x 800 and WXGA+ (1440 x 900), Radeon X1600 graphics with 512MB. There are others with a LaVie J with a 12.1-inch display and .06GHz Core 2 Duo U7500 processor and XGA screen. There is also the LaVie L (Advanced) and a LaVie L (Basic). You know the basic model is going to be dirt cheap seeing as basic means nothing, nudda, zilch, boring laptop.
