NOTEBOOK HP PAVILION DV6000

I have HP Pavilion DV6000 laptop. it is excellent, easy to use. I got a hp dv6000 battery from http://www.batterygoshop.co.uk/hp/dv6000-battery…. . The battery last 2~3 hours. Many of my friends like hp.

I have this laptop for University and it is great. Is fast with programmes such as iTunes, Adobe photoshop and about 15 other windows open! Would recommend to anyone. I bought mine from Comet for about £480 which i know is a really good price for the specs. I would give it a 10/10 on the principle i have had no problems, does everything i want and use it 24/7 for everything.

iám using HP Pavilion dv6000, and am wondering why the battery last only for 30 minutes….can you help me fix this problem?

This laptop is totall crap. I will never buy HP notebooks after this one… It was in the service 3 times- 3 times wireless was broken…at least mainboard died, to change it costs like all pc. I will never suggest even to my enemyes to buy this peace of crap. The week place of this pc is cooler.

topher- what os are you using on this peace of crap??? If it is Vista- it is normal that age of your batery is too short, vista is the same crap as this notebook. Downgrade to XP or better suggestion- install linux (ubuntu or mandriva or suse). If you are the gamer- best solution install windows 7 it eats less energy from your pc ang gaming is great.

So my suggestions:

1) use more power required OS

2) turn off any bluetooth- if not using and other outgoing processes

3)maybe your batery is broken? try to calibrate it.

If it will not help- change batery and remember NEVER PLUG OUT FROM THE SOCKET YOUR PC IF BATTERY IS NOT FULL CHARGED!!! You can blug Li-On bateries half exhausted.

It seems this is the same first ecological PC in the world….as HP claimed… Suggest what they have done to it to made ecological??? HP – USED INSIDE METAL FOR ALL CONTACTS WITHOUT LEAD. That means if your pc is overheated it will not only turn off….but it will breake many contacts inside your peace of crap… especialy on nVidia chip. The worst thing of this- HP have not apologised and not tooked back this kind of crap. That's why for me this PC company is dead. My suggestion to everyone go and buy Asus with ATI.

I was one of the first to purchase a hp dv 6000 late 2007, it is a fine notebook, i have upgraded the ram to 2mb also the hdd to 360gb i am still using it today, outstanding product HP!

HP promised to resolve wireless faults many times, still waiting for the call.

yeah they are great laptops, that is, until they breakdown, then you might as well throw them away.

In all I have 3 HP laptops, and as each one needs replaced, I will be replacing with Dell from now on.

HP know that there is a major problem with this laptop and will replace the motherboard free of charge providing the unit is less than 2 years old. The symptoms begin with the wireless network card not showing up in the devices list and eventually end up with the machine failing to boot altogether which as previous posts state leave you with a total piece of crap. I did not spot the fault till my machine was 2 years and 3 months old and they want to charge me another £265 to repair it. How unethical is that – to charge you to rectify a known default. HP – WAKE UP – NO ONE WILL BUY A MACHINE ON THAT BASIS. I urge anyone that has this machine to get their free update before it is too late.

Dont buy this crap. You ll start suffering in three months.
