Intel could be inside the next XO OLPC laptop!

Intel XO OLPC

It is always great news to hear good news and this news is very good indeed, it is looking like the next laptop from OLPC could be powered by an Intel Chip (pretty awesome we might add). If you look at the FAQ over at Intel here, it is plain and clear that there could be signs of Intel Chips may work their way into the XO-2 OLPC.

The question is that at the very least the servers will support the cool $100 XO laptop PCs will be Intel based, so far and of which you can see from the site link above the quote says that OLPC are planning to add an Intel Xeon processor based servers to their product offerings and that Intel are taking steps to develop a system board for the next generation XO.

So a little question for you to answer: “By having Intel Chips in the XO OLPC laptop, is this a good thing or a bad thing?
