Asus Eee PC 42-inch E-TV

Got to love this one, Asus are getting ready for something special in where they are going to inject their Eee branding until its blue in the face. They have a few products that will excite.

The all new family of low cost products will include the E-DT which is a desktop, then there is the E-TV, and E-Monitor. The E-DT ($200 – $300) will have a Celeron processor when it ships without a monitor around about April-May time.

The E-Monitor (LOL) will be in 19 to 21 inch all in one PC with built in TV tuner and a stunning price of only $499, it will be based on Intel’s Shelton platform when the AIO launches in September.

Now for the icing on the cake, you ready for this one readers, a 42 inch E-TV which will be launching in September, the 42 inch E-TV from Asus will feature a Linux PC integrated into the LCD. The expected list for a $200 premium over the low-cost 42-inch sets it will compete with.

Asus are not offering a touch-panel in their next generation Eee PC after all, apparently something to do with little demand.
