DreamBook Light IL1 will not beat Asus as it runs on VIA
Category: Asus, News | February 11th, 2008

We all know that the Asus Eee PC is a laptop to be reckoned with, seeing as it is a talking point for obscure laptop manufacturers and OEMs, well the news is that Pioneer Computers Australia is getting in on the action.
Its seems that the DreamBook Light IL1 is a nice laptop and definitely unique in its own way like the casing wrapped around VIA’s reference C7-M design for example, it has a 7 inch LCD which runs at 800 x 480 and with the 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, it seems they have a decent laptop.
But the most interesting point here is the configurability, we mean from an OS point of view where you can choose Vista, XP and Ubuntu to connectivity. But all this comes at a staggering price, $499 AUD ($446 US) base model doesn’t even include WiFi.
So it seems Asus are winning this one so far.
