HP DV9850 Laptop

Looking at the HP DV9850 laptop which you can buy from PC World for £799.99 seems to be pretty decent; it has all the specs and features to make your multi-media lifestyle a breeze to work with. The main specs are AMD Turion 64 X2 Processor TL-68, (2.40 GHz, 1600 MHz, 1 MB Cache), Genuine Windows Vista (R) Home Premium, 3 GB memory, 250 GB Hard Drive, LightScribe Super Multi DVD ReWriter, 17″ BrightView Widescreen Display, NVIDIA® GeForce 8400M graphics card, Bluetooth Connectivity, Webcam and Wireless Enabled.

I am liking this laptop, personally I have not used one myself so I cannot say how it performs but judging on the specs it seems to be ok, if you have one of these laptops please do in the comments area provided below let us know what you think about it, being it love or hate. Ive just bought one and first impressions are very good. Has a nice, wide, clear screen, seems to process everything very well.

    I'm buying one of these laptops this weekend, and my first impressions due to specs etc are that it's quite frankly the best laptop around! I think that what you're getting for your money can't be beaten, personally. When I went to have a final look before I purchase I found it had a remote control for media too!

    I can find no laptop better than this one in the price range.

    Yeah i've been using mine for a while now its a damn good laptop….the only complaint is with the graphics card….you can't really run top end games which was a bit disapointing for a supposedly top end entertainment laptop….for example i tried to play bioshock….could only run on all the lowest settings and even then it was jerky

    @Mark

    It's not even a top-end laptop though, that's the thing. There are laptops topping £1000 and over. This is about mid-range, and it performs at just lower than top-range standards. I've got one myself and to be able to play Dawn of War Soulstorm and Half Life 2 with everything on full and at full res is a very very amazing thing for a laptop.

    I think it is THE best laptop out there in the price range.
