Live blog round-up of Apple notebook event
Category: Apple,Laptop Brands | October 15th, 2008

Apple’s event yesterday revolved around the notebook, and there seemed to be quite a bit going on, so here we have a live blog round-up of just what occurred. Apple’s big honcho Steve Jobs, did state that as soon as he took centre stage that the event would be all concentrating on the Apple notebook range.
Obviously like all events like this one they get off with all the boring stuff like forecasts and sales figures first. Steve Jobs then went on to explain that Apple’s new notebooks will be coming with the choice of 2 NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards, and these new GPU’s will deliver five-times the performance.
Another new feature is the multi-touch Glass Trackpad; which now has a 33% bigger tracking area, while Apple have optimised the glass friction, but the biggest change is the removal of the trackpad button.
