Vodafone and Dell team-up: New embedded-SIM netbook launch
Category: Dell, Laptop Brands, News | October 16th, 2008

Now when you put Vodafone and Dell together you do not get a mobile phone laptop, instead you get the world’s first netbook with built in mobile broadband.
The netbook in question that will get this new embedded-SIM will be the Dell Inspiron Mini, now that they have partnered they will start the all new launch of a few laptops with embedded Sims.
These two companies have launched several laptops over the last few years but this is going to be the first ever with built-in mobile broadband. Many of you may think laptops and netbooks are pretty much the same and they are, but of course it is the smaller size of the netbooks that sets them apart from laptops, netbooks have lower specs and are very much cheaper.
Just so you know Vodafone will be offering the Dell Inspiron Mini on 24-month contracts from £25 per month, the netbooks feature Bluetooth, Windows XP, Wi-Fi-enabled and 8.9-inch screen, the deal comes with Vodafone mobile broadband through an embedded SIM.
