Hands-on Review: Toshiba Portege R600
Category: Laptop Brands,Toshiba | October 20th, 2008
The Toshiba Portege R600 on the surface hasn’t really changed much from the Toshiba Portege R500 so basically it is the same machine, and all about class and understatement which the Portege R600 does achieve with its hard-wearing matte silver casing with elegant curves and lines and black steel bezel.
The Toshiba Portege R600 is a 12.1 inch with a 1280 x 800 LED backlit display which is transreflective so will convert natural light into viewable light for the display, although mumblings say this transreflective isn’t a positive experience.
However, the build quality of the Toshiba Portege R600 has been upgraded nicely, yes there is still some flex but not too much to worry about and the good news is that the rattles pronounced in the older versions have now gone.
