Via GMB program to help develop Notebooks and Netbooks
Category: News | October 29th, 2008

The GMB, “Global Mobility Bazaar” program is a joint collaboration between Microsoft Corps, American Megatrends (AMI), Via Technologies, SanDisk, ITE Technologies, along with several other China based manufacturers of mobile computers and infrastructure partners, which help to develop Via Nano or C7 chip powered netbooks and notebooks.
The group intends to help manufacturers develop the notebook, netbook and other mobile devices based on various CPUs by Via, with Via ensuring the quality of products is high enough.
Via Technologies claim that the GMB program will substantially help its partners, maybe not with hardware development but with locating the right business opportunities for those little known companies and ensure they get components from companies such as SanDisk for the lowest price available.
