Apple MacBook Air begins shipping with Nvidia GPU

Category: Apple, Laptop Brands, News | October 30th, 2008

Several reports are coming in that the new version of Apple’s MacBook Air which was announced back on 14th of October has now begun shipping. The new Apple MacBook Air comes with the latest Nvidia chipset aboard.

The new improved GPU hardware should bring faster graphics performance to the MacBook Air, Apple’s thinnest laptop and there should also be improvements in h 264 playback which has been seen in the new Apple MacBooks and MacBook Pros.

It is believed that the off loading of the CPU in favour of the GPU will be more dramatic for the Air since the Air’s CPU runs slower than the MacBook and MacBook Pros.
