Asus S101 Eee PC Review Breakdown
Category: Asus,Laptop Brands | November 3rd, 2008
Aimed firmly at the executive types, the Asus Eee PC S101 netbook is somewhat similar in look and feel to that of the Asus U6 ultra-portable rather than previous Eee PCs. The Eee PC S101 netbook weighs in at 1.1kg and incorporates a four cell battery which hides neatly in the machine’s base rather than poking out of the back.
The S101 is just 1 inch thick which makes it the slimmest Eee PC from Asus to date, and has brushed metal palm rests, chrome trim, and glossy lid. The S101 offers a 10.2 inch LED display which is backlit but can be turned off if needed, integrated Intel GMA 950 makes short work of running Skype, MS Paint, the Browser and a host of other programs.
With a good size touchpad, single strip mouse button with dual click, a nice 16GB SSD with support by a 16GB memory card SDHA slot so you can up the S101 to 32GB, and runs on Windows XP. The Asus Eee PC S101 costs more than previous versions due to its premium materials and processing power, and sits at £449.00.
