According to researchers, approximately four percent of sales on one website were “free laptop” deals during July, and has risen to twenty-seven percent this month and is looking to overtake standalone broadband by the year’s end.

A spokesperson for Phones 4U said: “Since launching laptop-broadband deals on Phones4u.co.uk, we have seen significant sales growth month-on-month and predict that laptop-broadband deals will be top-sellers this Christmas.”

Free laptops are available from providers such as AOL Broadband and 3 Broadband along with retailers such as the Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u. 3 has reduced the price of their cheapest free laptop deal with 5GB mobile broadband with an HP 2133 mini notebook for only £25.
