HP Mini 1000: how to get 3G working
Category: HP, Laptop Brands, News | November 25th, 2008

When the HP Mini1000 came out last month there was whispers of a fell 3G spec version following in December, well it’s not quite December and an owner has managed to get online with his new HP mini 1000.
Dplky user over at Pocketables forum has put in some time with AT&T and HP customer support so he can describe the how-to which the full instructions can be found at the source.
Basically you will need to download a WWAN drive from HP, extract and install it then slot your SIM into the battery compartment, but with a 3-cell battery it will struggle to keep broadcasting, and is unlikely to work with older HP mini 1000s.
