Samsung R610 laptop: not the greatest out there
Category: Laptop Brands, News, Samsung | November 26th, 2008

In America the Samsung R610 is designed to be amongst the thinnest and lightest 16 inch laptops available and reasonably priced among the less expensive laptops out there. The Samsung R610 did will in succeeding in its core missions but unfortunately hasn’t faired too well when it came down to the biz.
Performance wise critics say the Samsung R610 is acceptable overall but leaves a lot to be desired in the HDD test results and graphics scores, and that the 6-cell battery under performs giving just 2.5 hours before recharge.
However the battery life could be extended if you are willing to pay a little extra for a 9-cell battery pack, but as it is reviewers simply don’t have the heart to recommend the Samsung R610 over something like an Acer 6930G
