Two new SSD upgrade kits for the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 laptop have been announced by Buffalo, which will be available in 16GB and 32GB capacities and will replace the standard SSD storage in low cost ultra-potable laptops which can be specifies as small as 4GB from Dell themselves.
This announcement from Buffalo follows on from their similar kits for the Asus Eee PC range, although with the Asus Eee PCs 32GB and 64GB were on offer and with the price of the 32GB Buffalo Eee PC being $156.00 at launch.
Dell recently began offering a 32GB SSD option for the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 being in the form of an upgrade costing $100.00 on ordering. Buffalo aftermarket kits are available as of this month and priced at 16GB $57.00 and 32GB at $101.00.
