Axiotron Modbook gains improvements
Category: Other Computers | December 5th, 2008
Axiotron has updated its Modbook with some serious improvements as it now has a new hardware controller board that brings improved system, battery and sleep performance. The Axiotron Modbook has received good reviews from critics with them sending praises such as “an impressive feat of engineering” and “cleverly designed.”
Of particular note is a new form of bonding process for the AnyView LCD panel and paper-emulating ForceGlass screen cover, which apparently results in “better contrast ratio, a firmer etched drawing surface, and decreased parallax between pen tip and cursor.”
Furthermore the Axiotron Modbook in incorporates Axiotron’s QuadCoat process which is a process that protects the Modbook’s top shell by applying a liquid metallic coating whilst reducing weight to 5.3lbs. The Axiotron Modbook has a starting price of $2249, or can have non-aluminium MacBooks converted for $1299.
