Laptops take sales lead away from desktops

It appears that the laptop is thoroughly out selling the desktop computer according to market research company iSuppli as they have just released a report that laptop sales rose an incredible forty percent in Q3 of 08 resulting in 38.6 million units.
Desktop sales as a result dropped to 38.5 million which relates to a 1.3 percent fall from Q3 of 07. Analysts predicted the changeover to laptops leading would come in 2011 but it looks like 08 is actually the year.
Laptop are continuing to have a large impact on the computing consumer market, and as far as the enterprise market is concerned continues to grow as business always want their employees at hand.
