That Indian $10 laptop turns out not a laptop at all
Category: News | February 5th, 2009

The supposed $10.00 laptop in India was unveiled the other day yet there was a distinct absence of any pictures of the $10.00 laptop, and probably the reason for the lack of promotional images is due to the $10.00 laptop is a display missing keyboard missing laptop isn’t a laptop at all.
That’s right, no display, no keyboard, just a 10 x 5 inch slab which stores, and possibly prints, distributed education material which can later be received by an impoverished child that obviously is using the laptop and paper that they can’t afford in the first place.
So basically a storage device…er…hard drive? That needs a laptop and printer to use, something that most impoverished children don’t have access to so just what is the actual point?
