SSD netbook priced dropping and becoming more affordable

Category: News | February 25th, 2009

It’s probably just the natural evolution of technology but it appears that SSD equipped laptops are beginning to fall in price. Intel has just slashed the price of their 80GB SSD and many others are also reducing their prices.

All this is of course good news for the consumer as SSD equipped laptops drop in price is a good move for them, and everyone wants everything more affordable don’t they.

According to DigiTimes, demand for SSD equipped 8.9 inch netbooks in particular are clogging up sales channels, thus leading to the companies having to ship them out for a lower price than advertised, well in Taiwan anyway.

You have taken two compeltely separate articles and put them together. They have no coorelation to each other… Yes, netbook prices with SSDs are falling but this has nothing to do with Intel pricing on the 80GB drive. There isn't a single netbook that uses this capacity SSD, it's just too expensive.

Netbook price changes are taking place to handle inventory issues, the price from from Intel is something completely different.
