Category: Asus,Laptop Brands | March 4th, 2009

A few months back while at CES, Asus showed off a few of their concepts and they continue to do so at CeBit in Germany this week with the Asus all-touch based “Community Design PC” concept called the dual panel concept notebook.

Apparently the idea for this concept ordinates on Asus and Intel’s WePC.com whereby users of the web portal contributed to the ideas. According to Asus the all-touch dual panel concept notebook is a “work in progress” but is working on support for multi-touch, pen and hand gesture inputs.

The word is Asus foresees the concept laptop functioning just like a normal notebook with a resizeable virtual keyboard, a touchpad, and multimedia hub. The idea is that both panels will join together to form a single large panel for viewing such things as movies or reading an ebook.
