General Dynamics has now launched their new tough notebook the Itronix GD8000, tough because its one tough rugged laptop that sports an Intel Core 2 Duo SL9400 processor, integrated Intel GMA 4500HD graphics.

Other features found in the Itronix GD8000 laptop are a 13.3 inch DynaVue sunlight readable display, integrated GPS, biometric fingerprint reader, WiFi, 4GB memory along with 120GB storage, smartcard reader, integrated Gobi 2000 WWAN and optional Bluetooth.

As for toughness, is has a magnesium chassis with a polycarbonate casing and conforms to MIL-STD 810F and can withstand being dropped from a height of 42 inches, operates in temperatures ranging from 22F to 140F and can withstand 30 gallons of water at 40 mile per hour.
