Vista around till 2011 with support until 2012
Category: News | May 5th, 2009
The latest word on Microsoft Vista is that Microsoft has confirmed that the Microsoft Vista operating system will continue until January of 2011. However, Microsoft also stated that they plan to sever ties and discontinue mainstream support for the 3 consumer models within 3 years before April 2012.
With Microsoft XP OS it had mainstream support for 8 years after launch, and so most Windows variants do have longer life cycles.
However if you are a Business Enterprise user you will be happy to learn you will still receive security updates until the April of 2017, so not too bad.
