Acer Android Platform Netbook coming in Q3
Category: Acer, Laptop Brands | June 3rd, 2009

Word has come out of Acer that they are to launch an Android platform netbook in Q3 of 2009, this news was announced by Jim Wong, Acer’s global president for IT products. The Acer Android netbook reportedly will run on Atom and is presumed to cost less than a Windows XP based netbook.
Although Acer plan to work on Android based netbooks they will continue to offer Windows based netbooks alongside Android.
One presumes Acer is hoping that the Android platform netbook can hopefully drag back some of that lost market share from Microsoft.
