WWDC 2009: Apple Snow Leopard and Macbook Updates

On Monday Apple began WWDC 2009 and announced their latest hardware and software, and one of the announcements were Apple has made updates to the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air ranges. The MacBook Pro gains a 13 inch model along with a battery upgrade for delivering up to 7 hours and the addition of an SD card reader.

Another announcement was that Apple has cut prices across the board of notebooks including the MacBook Air and prices are now the 13 inch starts at $1199, 15 inch at $1699 and 14 inch at $2499 with the Air at $1499.

As for software, many improvements where done behind the scenes of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard which delivers an increase in both application speed and start up time, they have also integrated Spotlight into more apps like Mail and Safari and created new graphics programming architecture OpenCL.
