NVIDIA rejects Android and prefers Windows CE
Category: Software News | June 22nd, 2009

Apparently NVIDIA has stated their preference for Windows CE over Linux and Android platforms while Asus and ARM also say they are sceptical over Android on ARM netbooks. Apparently NIVIDIA prefers Windows CE because it is more mature than Android.
NVIDIA also say Android lags behind Windows CE in most areas such as the interface is rough, and not ready for use on larger displays while all video and graphics rendering is done by Android’s Java code and something that is too slow for HD video, which the Tegra platform handles well on Windows CE.
NVIDIa has also been less enthusiastic towards the likes of Moblin and Ubuntu, stating when the first netbooks came out with Linux the world soundly rejected them.
