The word is NVIDIA is already working hard on Ion 2, and promises to devliver with it plentyl of improvements over their previous impressive Ion chipset. The NVIDIA Ion 2 main improvements will be a decreased die size, and much faster graphics.

Also the NVIDA Ion 2 will offer more than twice the shaders of the original NVIDIA GeForce 9400m MCP79 chipset which the present NIVIDA Ion chipset is based on.

That is all detail wise so far, but the net whispers have it that NVIDIA is looking towards an end of this year launch for the Ion 2.
