Category: News | September 10th, 2009
Now we are aware that not all computers are the same, and most can be technologically improved upon, however when it comes to the basic design of a laptop there isn’t much room for improvement as lets face it the clamshell form factor is here to stay.
Virtually every laptop since the inception of the clamshell design way back in 1982 by Grid Systems is uses by most manufacturers today. However for the last 25 years inventors have been having a bash at trying to top the clamshell design.
Folding screens, folding keyboards, 2 display clamshells, 3 display clamshells, screens on stalks, you name it its probably been tried and failed, but if you’d like to peruse an abundance of those fail designs for kicks then hit up the source.
