Asus Notebooks on Puma and Montevina leaked
Category: Asus, Laptop Brands | May 30th, 2008

Hopefully Intel’s Montevina platform is on its way, and AMD’s apparently claim that in excess of 100 laptops will launch with Puma, it is somewhat of a surprise there hasn’t been an abundance of pre-release information on these new laptops that are shipping with this new chip.
However it could be that Asus is preparing to hit everyone with this new stylish looking computer gear at Computex 2008. So, what we got?
Based along the lines of Asus’ existing M51 and M70 computer range, the M51VR is to feature a 2.26GHz Penryn P8400 processor with 3MB of L2 cache on Montevina’s 1.06GHz bus. The M51VA along with the M70VM, the M70Vm being pictured, will apparently have 2.53GHz T9400’s along with 6MB of cache.
Also at Computex 2008 Asus should be displaying the Puma based F5Z and X50Z laptops which will incorporate 1.9GHz MD Athlon 64 X2 QL-60 chips, 667MHz bus, graphics will be handles by an ATI Mobility Radeon HD3200, while the user will be viewing on a 15.4 inch screen.
