Dell 500 laptop official for emerging countries like China and India

Category: Dell, Laptop Brands, News | April 24th, 2008

The all new Dell 500 laptop was officially announced in India the other day which as all in conjunction of the new opening of a new factory in the country, the very affordable new Dell 500 laptop which should suit the low budget world is mainly designed for emerging countries like China and India.

We do not even know what the screen size is, but what we do know is that the Dell 500 laptop has the choice of Ubuntu Linux full application suite or Microsoft Windows XP Home, onsite next-business-day warranty in about 600+ cities plus features a 8-in-1 card reader and direct multi media playback buttons and a host of wireless access options.

The price tag of Rs 24,500 (Around $600) seems pretty reasonable but I will not be getting excited until I see the full spec sheet, and the fact that it is for emerging countries such as India and China why would we want to get excited.
