Dell Inspiron 1525 / 1526 Models Look Set To Launch Next Month
Category: Acer, Dell, Laptop Brands | November 21st, 2007

If you’re looking to buy an Inspiron 1520 / 1521 then you’d be better off to wait for a few weeks as it seems there will be appropriate successors to both laptops. The upcoming 1525 and 1526 laptops are the 15.4 inch replacements for the 1520 / 1521.
The initial specification sheets have hinted that the 1525 machines are likely to be based on the Santa Rosa architecture, with the 1526 having AMD-powered and offers an ATI Radeon X1270 graphics set.
Both the 1525 and the 1526 will feature:
- Up to 4GB of RAM
- WXGA / WXGA+ / WSXGA+ panel choices
- SATA hard drives
- Blu-ray reader (1525 optional)
- built in WiFi
- optional WWAN and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
Both models will also have four USB 2.0 ports, a 4-pin FireWire connector, Ethernet/56k modem, VGA out, optional HDMI, audio in/out, a 8-in-1 multicard reader, ExpressCard slot and a choice of Vista or Ubuntu Linux.
Looks wise, nothing much has changed and you’ll still be able to choose your own colour lid.
No word on price yet but you can expect them to stay around roughly the same price as the 1520/1521.
