In the last couple of days, Dell launched the Dell latitude E4200, and the word is there are some very interesting things in the pipeline for the Dell latitude business notebooks.

First thing is the Latitude ON system, the E4200 gains that later in the year, and is a trimmed down alternative OS which compliments Vista. The Latitude ON system powers up immediately when the notebook is opened and has always-on 3G or HSDPA.

Dell is extremely cagey at just what sort of software the Latitude On system may use, and has stipulated that nothing would be revealed until later in the year, so we reckon something along the lines of Linux based.
