It is looking like Acer is making ready to go head-to-head with ASUS, challenging them within the low cost laptop market? Apparently reported in the Chinese language Commercial Times it thinks so. These low cost laptops are expected to be 8 or 9 inch display screens when they eventually get launched sometime probably in the early second quarter. These are supposed to be priced to challenge directly with the Eee.But it appears Acer won’t go unchallenged because ASUS is apparently preparing their own low cost launch at about roughly the same time, so maybe Acer and Everex better keep a watchful eye.
