Gateway P-170 FX series laptops are new and with 17 inch displays

Over at Engadget who we respect have news on the brand new Gateway P-170 FX series laptops, they carry on to say that the new P-170 FX laptop lineup from giants Gateway look a little too bulky, but have in fact said that there is plenty of technology under the hood (Lovely).
If you are looking at the low end laptop then you will get the Gateway P-170 FX1 which runs Core 2 Duo T7250 processor and features a 17 inch 1440 x 900 display, 250GB HDD, 3GB of RAM, 5-in-1 media reader, DVD burner, multi-format, GeForce 8800M GTS graphics with 512MB of RAM and 802.11n WiFi.
If you want the high end laptop then you will love the Gateway P-170FX MAX which boasts and must say bumps the specs up a little, the P-170FX laptop features 400GB 7200RPM SATA HDD and a HD DVD disc drive, X7900 Core 2 Extreme processor, 17 inch 1920 x 1200 screen.
The Gateway P-170 FX1 will cost $1,600, whereas the P-170FX MAX will set you back $3,000.
These laptops will be available soon at the Gateway’s online store.
