  3. Oh please. I could build a decent gaming system for that much. Next time come up with something truly budgeted, HP. Use AMD’s mobile processors or something. If you can’t, then I’m afraid you fail. That doesn’t give everyone else an excuse, though. I mean fer chrissakes, the options are RIGHT THERE.

  4. A decent gaming platform for the same price as that? Think you’re on crack. In the uk its currently £269 with 2Gig ram (for the Celly version). Cheapest average gaming system here is £500, decent one is about £700+. No point though comparing a laptop to a gaming system, apples and oranges.

There’s very few laptops here < £300, this is one of them, with reasonable specs (never seen a 2G one under that price).

If you’re on a tight budget you can’t complain.

  7. ALERT!
If your battery eject mechanism is a single notch slider/pop out system, then the most chances are that you carrying a battery that has a very bad history of getting damaged within a very short period of time.
Mostly found in hp DV series and Hp compaq series lappies.

Please update me about the type of battery the Madmax hp 530 comes with.

  8. Well i have to say i wasnt too happy with this lappy at all… it had only a led that says “Hey i’m on” and the charger led… so i was pissed that i coulnt see when it had lots of hd activity… after a while… i got used to it… so far 6 months with the Intel 1.66 model it came with 1GB ram… i upgradded to 2GB, and 120GB of HD… i must say it kicks ass (Specially when you dont use windows ;) )… and till now… i would buy another one if i had to… the only thing i miss is just two more usb ports… the rest it runs great!
