Lenovo outsource laptop production Taiwan makers: Is this a good idea?
Category: Laptop Brands, Lenovo, News | January 21st, 2008

We all know that most of the cheapest products in the world have either made in China or Taiwan imprinted on it, now it seems that Lenovo are going to outsource their laptop production to Taiwan makers.
Good or bad thing is something we will have to see in the future, at the moment Lenovo has Compal, Quanta, Wistron and Inventec building for it in Taiwan and now it seems that the company plans on dropping one of those from the above list from its consumer line and add one manufacturer to its ThinkPad line.
So yes this means that they are going to outsource its laptop manufacturing which is the first in history. Lenovo’s market share is dipping a little compared to Acer so we say this is the best decision.
Do you agree, should Lenovo out source?
