Lenovo Thinkpad X300: Mossberg says “It’s a notable engineering accomplishment”
Category: Laptop Brands, Lenovo | February 21st, 2008

Walt Mossberg has just posted a fantastic review that is a great read; he is talking about the available now Lenovo Thinkpad X300. The first notable bit that stands out is the fact he says “I can recommend the X300 for road warriors without hesitation” and Mossberg says “It’s a notable engineering accomplishment”
He is giving a full review of the detailed comparison with Apples competing product which we all know is the Apple Mac Book Air. He points out to us all the differences between the two laptops and that the biggest difference is the selection of ports.
Other differences are the removable main battery afforded by the X300’s relatively thick chassis, built-in DVD and the choice of OS is also a consideration since the X300 cannot run OS X while the MBA can run Vista.
He also say’s that the X300 is only offered with an SSD and that it is limited to a maximum of 64GB of storage which is why it has a high price, it starts at a staggering $2,500 with a stripped-down no DVD and half the size battery or $3,000 will get you the better full sized battery and DVD configuration.
