Maingear has a forthcoming beast that is bound to please all those gamers who won’t even look at a gaming laptop unless it weighs upwards of twelve pound, and this one will have them drolling to get their hands on it. The Word surfing the net waves is Maingear’s aptly named eX-L laptop incorporates a 3.06GHz Care 2 Extreme X9100 CPU, and will no doubt be overclocked by an undisclosed quantity.

The Whisper on graphics is to be expecting a twinsome of ATI GPUs or a lonesome NVIDIA unit. The eX-L spots a nice 17 inch display with built-in speakers and subwoofer, with 802.11n WiFi. Availability and pricewise are currently being kept back by Maingear, but we are guessing this monster won’t come cheap.
