HP seem to want more and more Santa Rosa based laptops and yes that is what they are doing, they already have Santa Rosa based laptops and now they have more coming. They have quite a few in fact and all of them full under the name Compaq moniker and these laptop model numbers are 8710w, 8510w, 8510p, 6910p, 2510p, and 8710p.

Some of the specs including which are different on some of the models will be a 12.1-inch WXGA display and weighing in at around 2.8 pound. The 8710w and 8710p will have stunning 17 inch displays with NVIDIA graphics and Blu-ray drives, the Blu-ray drives will be an option bases they will also pack Core 2 Duo processors ranging from the T7100 to the T7700 other than the 2510p. How about integrated fingerprint scanners and built-in WiFi and Bluetooth. Pricing and availability is not known yet but they will be soon.
