New business orientated SL series laptops coming soon from Lenovo

Lenovo keep popping out the details on their new ThinkPads, and now it’s the turn of their SL series. Lenovo has confirmed all is on track to see the release of the SL series sometime in the next few weeks. Although at this time Lenovo didn’t give out any juicy specs on their business orientated laptops, they did hint that the pricing will run in the region of $699.00 to $1,119.00.
Also the Lenovo SL series laptops will come bundled with online backup services along with Absolute Software’s LOJack theft protection which helps track stolen laptops. Lenovo will be targeting businesses with staffing of around 99 people who can’t afford to have IT troubleshooting staff.
Apparently to get into that price range, Lenovo has stripped away some feature which can be found on the higher end ThinkPads such as the proprietary docking ports. However SL series users can expect a new fresh case design which takes its cue from the consumer level IdealPad line.
Cool, now all we really need from Lenovo is a few detailed specs and images to get us eager to see the SL series hit the streets.
