Dell Inspiron 1525 Turning on Issues

When I press the power button on my Dell Inspiron 1525 on 2 lights start to flash and keep on blinking, the two lights that flash is the Capital A LED and the down arrow. Why is this happening?

you need to change your ram memory as it appears to be faulty.
