Advent 9912 Laptop: Power Problems

I bought my notebook last year, but since I bought it, I always seem to have power problems with it. Sometimes it powers on, sometimes it doesn’t. I have tried to take it in for servicing, but the problem persists. What could be the cause and how do I solve it?
