SX series convertible tablet from Kohjinsha

Category: Laptop Brands, News, Other | June 24th, 2008

The new SX series from Kohjinsha pushes the definition of convertible UMPC to the limits whit their chubby appearance along with a packed feature set, and this one is more than likely too loaded and even expensive to be properly classed as a notebook.

So what can you expect for your cash? An 8.9 inch convertible tablet with a 1.33HGzz Atom processor and runs on the Vista operating system; you’ll find 1GB of RAM along with a 60GB hard drive, DVD dual layer drive, dual cams, ExpressCard/34 slot, Ethernet, WiFi, card reader, 2 USB ports, 1seg tuner, VGA out, with an approximate 4.2 hour life battery.

SX series

All this is encased in a 2.7 pound casing that is roughly an inch thick, and will be available soon in Japan with a rice range depending on options of €650 to €850, that’s about $1,000 to $1,240.
