And so we have Acer’s new netbook the Aspire One, an Atom based netbook with an 8.9 inch, 1024 x600 pixel laptop which can run on either Linux or Windows XP whichever is your preference, for mobile surfing the Acer Aspire One incorporates 802.11b/g Wifi, has up to 1GB of memory with either an 8GB SSD or 2.5 inch 80GB, a 6-cell battery, and an SD card slot.
The Acer Aspire One will also incorporate integrated WiMax for when the networks actually light up. Acer is one of the biggest notebook suppliers, and has history with subnotebooks with their TravelMate series, and has been expected to enter the mini-notebook area to compete with the likes of the Asus Eee PC.


The Acer Aspire One is expected to hit the States sometime in September with the price tag hanging around the $399.00 mark, although that is unofficial, and with a 3-cell, 2200mAh battery as standard.
