Hewlett Packard have insisted that touchscreen technology is the future, an executive for Hewlett Packard in Taiwan has in fact been discussing the future of the market and also offered some insight of what we can all expect from the hardware company.
HP Taiwan personal systems group general manager Dennis Chen said that touchscreen based products like handsets, PDAs and our beloved laptops will become more mainstream in 2008 plus some desktop PCs using this technology will become more commonplace.
The question is “Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Many people will have views on making touch screen more mainstream because it will mean your arm will be extended and in the air for long periods of time whereas at the moment your arm and hand are resting on a mouse.
